Street Jams were very popular in New York City back in the mid to late 70’s. It was a venue where the best of the best (DJs, Breakers, and MCs/Rappers) would show off their skills. These events would draw  crowds in the thousands. One, because it was free and secondly, because the purity of the street culture  was at its finest in its natural environment –the street!

These type of gatherings have been extinct for nearly 30 years. But due to the world wide resurgence of New York’s original  street culture, it is now time to resurrect the street jam  and take it to the next level as a full blown festival. This will happen by including live graffiti, street fashions, car displays, old and new school DJs, break dance battles, indoor and outdoor festivities such as film screenings, underground art shows, live musical performances from the legends of yesterday and today, and an area on the street for various companies to promote and sell their products.
